Internship

During my internship at IKA RWTH Aachen, I had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into automotive design processes while working alongside an experienced and supportive team. I am especially grateful to the IKA team for their guidance and the knowledge I was able to build throughout this period. The internship exposed me to a range of challenges that played an important role in shaping my perspective as a designer. It helped me develop a deeper understanding of how ideas evolve from early concepts to more refined and feasible solutions and strengthened my ability to approach design problems with greater clarity and intention. My main contribution during this time was related to a logistics vehicle project, where I was involved in developing and refining design ideas within a practical context. Alongside this, I also explored a personal extension of the project in my free time. Driven by a long-standing interest in high-performance vehicles, I reinterpreted the logistics concept as a “super van” combining the functional base of a delivery vehicle with the exaggerated performance character of an F1-inspired machine. This exercise allowed me to experiment beyond constraints and express a more emotional and unconventional side of automotive design.
